Urban Artistry is equipped with experts in specific genres of dance who work tirelessly to help the curious become ambassadors of urban art and dance culture. Company members are motivated to continuously educate themselves in historical and international techniques and applications. Through classes, school programs, educational productions, mentorships, and multimedia, we have made education a cornerstone of our mission.

performance

Urban Artistry regularly performs in a wide variety of urban dance styles, including (but not limited to): B-Boying / B-Girling, Popping, Locking, Strutting, Hip-Hop, House Dance, Waacking, and Vogueing. These performances range from appearances at special events, all the way up to full-fledged theater productions and arts festivals. UA members are more than dancers: they are musicians, MCs, DJs, graffiti writers, and more. Our performances are thrilling tribute to the range and power of our art.

competition

Our artists are well-known in their communities as well as abroad. Urban Artistry recognizes the importance of competition and battling within the history of our dance tradition. At the same time, we keep close to our hearts that no person or group is greater than this culture. Knowing that our responsibility is to the culture, its preservation, and the participants that came before us, helps Urban Artistry remain humble, dedicated and in service to passing on this legacy to aspiring artists.
